Frames
Unpack your franes, serial number to the outside. Add the parts to one frame, don't loctite the bolts yet.
The main shaft bearing blocks are not all the same, upper two are marked with 'A' at the edges.
These have the larger bearings fitted. The lower 'B' blocks have a smaller bearing.
The manual skips the tank at this stage but you won't get it in if you don't !
Fit the head and set on a flat table, I used a square to keep it at 90 deg to the table top.
I removed the bolts, added loctite and refitted them.
It should look like this. The Canopy spacer, on the right, has a small metal tube fitted inside.
Inside the tank is the clunk fitted with THIN WALL tube. Wet the plug to get it into the sealing ring.
If you push it into the tank, as I did, the clunk holds it!
Rudder lever, note small and larger balls.
Small to outside. Make sure you fit these with loctite, not shown in the manual
but note at bottom of page. All screws into metal holes add loctite !!!
Skid legs are fitted with set screws.
CA stoppers in, you won't find them in the grass....
Fit the receiver mount and two fuel line grommets.
Looking good.
Loctite these too, and skid bolts !
Leave the engine mounts loose for now. Note the way they are fitted.
Fit balls into levers with a dab of CA.
Shim washes are used to take up play when you fit the into the frames.
The shaft has a shallow grove, this is on the right where the set screw hold the elevator arm.
Adjust in the grove to make the arm that links to the swash central.
Loctite the set screw and the two 3mm cap heads.
Just had to add canopy and head to see what it looks like !
